Technics SL-QD33 cueing speed issue

Just recently bought sl-qd33 and I've noticed an issue that cueing mechanism is not working correctly. The arm rises after bressing the start button and goes into right position but it takes about 30-40 seconds for it to fall onto the record. The correct way should take about 5-6 seconds to place the arm and start playing, shown on reviews of exact model. Seems like something is blocking (?) the mechanism of cueing or is not connected correctly. Anyone got any idea what could have happened?

The armlift is not going back as quick as it should. It just very slowly goes down.

Hi,
where you able to correct the problem with the cuing? if not, you will need to open the TT and lubricate the tone arm rest shaft with light oil and work the shaft from below about 20 times and that should work. My tone arm rest was stuck in the up position. Hope this works.
