Hi,
I recently bought a technics sl-qd33 of market place for $30. The previous owner that I bought it off said that there was a problem with the auto start which is not making it work. When I power on the turn table, the lights came on for the power button and speed. When I pressed start nothing happened and when I moved the tone arm to cue, nothing happened as well. Also the cue, speed, repeat buttons don’t do anything tho when I keep pressing the speed button it looks like it wants to change speed but stays stuck on 35. After reading that it could be the old capacitors causing issues I went ahead and replaced the old capacitors with new ones hoping that this would help solve the problem but did not. After a little bit of investigating I did noticed a couple parts missing in the tone arm mechanism and went ahead and replaced the missing pieces, but still the auto start won’t work. I don’t know if anyone has any suggestion on what might be causing the turn table to not work I would greatly appreciate it!
