Technics SL-QD33k - mat thickness?

I recently acquired a Technics SL-QD33(k) with no mat.

Could someone do me a favor and measure the mat thickness and let me know what you come up with? I'd be much obliged :D

I am currently using an old mat I had laying around, cut out for the LP/45 "sensors" and felt it was a bit too thin (the 'sensors' stood proud of the mat by 1/16th or more). So I cut some bathroom shower lining material and put that under the oem mat... wondering if I am close.

Gracias in advance,

Michael

using a feeler gauge, I get 4 mm or 0.1575 inches for the mat for your model.

just remember to make sure it's neither to thin nor too thick, as either extreme will affect your vertical tracking angle.

Bingo! That's what prompted the question! :D My ears and eyes suspected I was running a tail up VTA... the measurements confirmed it. It's better at 2mm but will see if I can find a thick mat to get the full 4mm (Ideas for materials welcome)
