I picked up a Technics SP-25 the other day that the seller described as “doesn’t come to a stop quickly”, but it turns out when I got it that when in stop the player just oscillates forwards and backwards less than a quarter turn. Once started it works fine in both 33 and 45. It looks like the left side of the AN6680 chip and associated resistors have gotten warm and the chip is warm to the touch when running. TP5 reads 20v, but I’m not too sure where to go from there. Any help would be appreciated! I have a beater SL-1200mk2 as well with a good main board that I could swap in for a bit, but I’d rather get this one working. I’ve had a few SL-1200mk2s, but have never encountered this issue before.
