Technics SU-V5 - ICQ Adjustment

AUD101

Parsley The Lion!
Hello all - need some confirmation setting up ICQ adjustment for a Technics SU-V5

The service manual page calls for the Adjustment of the load impedance detection circuit to be completed then adjustment of the ICQ idle current - (See attached snippet of procedure)
Now, is the ICQ adjustment made with the Load impedance test resistors still in place at the speaker terminals? - TIA

I don't have any model specific knowledge, but my feeling is that it shouldn't matter either way, connected or not. If I was doing this I would disconnect the load resistors. ;)

Hi, in case somebody sees that. I don't understand the first part of the adjustment - the load impedance circuit.
In the left box it says connect resistors accros speaker terminals and connect voltmeter accross TP401 and chassis. And what do I measure there?
Because then in the right box it says: connect terminals 402 (and 404) and adjust the pots. SO whats the purpose of connecting between 401 and chassis in the first step? Also, I have 16.5 V between 401 and 402 (also 403 and 404) and the pots don't do anything to that.
