I have come across a TECHNICS SU -V6 FOR SALE .I don't know to much about this Amp as there is not to much info out there. The owner said is from the early 80s and it's 100 wattsx2.It looks to be in great condition. Any input from anyone that as heard or that owns one of above Amp would be of great value, and help to me in so far as buying it. He is asking $175.

From around 1980-81. It probably is 100 wpc, but Orion does not give an output figure. $420.
I have a newer old Technics "New Class A" SU-G91 with 130 wpc, and it sounds pretty darn good driving the JBL L100 Century's.
I dunno, though, $175 seems a mite high for "only" a Technics integrated amp. Are you able to audition the amp? Will the seller refund your money if you get it home and it doesn't synergize with your system?
Technics getted kicked around, but I have a few Technic's pieces and they are very good at what they do.
Let us know how it works out!

BTW, Welcome to AK!

I heard that piece many moons ago with some model of ADS speaks- unlike many, I like Technics gear, and remember thinking well of that one. Still, sounds overpriced to me.

Yeah, I agree, toze. Even $125 seems generous. A stud KA-801 just sold for 80 euros (about a $100 or so?).

It's 70w RMS per channel @8 ohms. It's a wonderful IA and $175 doesn't sound too bad by UK standards, but if the US guys are saying that's too high, I'd listen to them.
