Technics SU-VZ220 missing trebles after recap

Hi guys,

I recently bought this SU-VZ220 from ebay and after I played with it for a while my next step was to do a full recap on all electrolytic capacitors. Since then I have that strange feeling that trebles are not as sharp as before (or I might be wrong and everything is just an imagination?). So far I've recap several units - CD players, Cassette decks, Tuners, Amplifiers and Receivers and all are working just great since then.
So my question is what could be went wrong?
Most of the time I'm replacing with a bit higher voltage rated electrolytic caps. Could it be because of the brand? I can only find Fujicon in my local supplier.
Or how I can achieve a better frequency response in high frequency range with this amplifier?

P.S. I have the same strange feeling for one other receiver here - SA-GX200...
P.S.2 On both units the lower frequencies (bass) are like a monster!

I've found that some brands and cap materials do make a difference. I check whether the polarity or non polarity types were correctly placed or soldered correctly(pull on them) and check for continuity of it's trace in case it's not making contact. I now just refer to the parts list on the schematic for cap materials, types... if the cap is within spec and low esr, I just leave it. If I really like the unit, I experiment with different cap types/ compositions and values to attenuate the sound to my liking; deviating from the design. I burn in the unit by leaving it on. others will have different ideas.
