Technics?

Hey guys, I'm wondering what your opinions on Technics (Panasonic/Matsushita) speakers are. There's a set at my local thrift for $30. They are in good shape and sounded great hooked up to a Realistic amp, but I'm no audiophile so I'd like to know what you guys think. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down the model number and didn't get any pictures. They'll probably be gone by tomorrow, but Technics speakers seem to pop up there all the time, so....

are Technics any good?

I have a pair of SB-G500's.

They're big, and like to play loud. They sound decent though, especially for the price (also about $30).

There's better out there, sure, but for the price I paid, and condition they're in, I like 'em.
