I recently got this radio from my uncle. Except the light bulb, nothing works. The tuning string is also broken ( a really difficult job). Thankfully I got the manual from radiomuseum, which explains how to wind it.
Nothing happens when I turn the volume knob. The tone knob creates a few crackling sounds, but nothing of the sort you would hear from tuning a radio. The speaker makes a faint buzzing sound - just like a mosquito.
I checked the caps on the smaller board, they are all ok.
I used my mobile phone aux out as an input for the radio's phono in option. At full volume I could hear a faint sound from the radio's speaker.
Interestingly, I moved the cap's connection (attached image InkedInkedIMG_20201014_221449 - Copy_LI) from point A to B and the volume worked perfectly and the volume control also worked, no tuning though. But the buzzing sound also increased considerably.
Please help.
