Tesla Truck revealed and it may be a joke.

Here's the bed. I think it's kinda cool. It's about time car and truck designers took some risks. I like the stainless steel exoskeleton idea.
Sounds like that quad in the back is also a Tesla, and can charge off the truck battery.

Thats pretty sweet!!

I hope that's a joke. Not only is it fugly, but the article I read was bragging up the tri-motor version running a 10-second quarter mile. That's usually not the priority when designing a truck. I can't see that boxy, ugly thing running a 10, especially with offroad tires, lol.

On a side note, how fast are we gonna make street cars? To put things in perspective, if you go to any NHRA-sanctioned track, if your car runs a 9.99 or faster quarter mile, you are required to have a roll cage and helmet!

I mean, I am all for progress, and being different, but c'mon. I think this is different only for the sake of being shockingly different, rather than for practical reasons.

Why?? 95% (and I am probably being conservative) of the trucks on the rode are used as cars not trucks, same with Jeeps.

:beerchug:
Im just wondering if there was a market for it, are "Tesla People" even wanting trucks? If so, the capabilities are enough for most depot trips.

But as far as converting "truck people" they have a long way to go, that 1979 Babylon 5 prop vehicle they made is harebrained. I like its looks but a longer bed without those goofy buttresses is a must.
