Test leads for vintage meter--Sanwa U-50d

I have a couple of older meters, and would like to get test leads for them.
Both take what I'm calling "pin plugs" rather than banana plugs. That search term isn't working great, so if anyone knows a better one, I'd take the help.
One is an RCA WV-97a, and that one is less of a problem because I am able to find some information online about what it needs. I have beat up old leads for this one, and they can be a guide along side of the manual information that I've found online.

The problem is a Sanwa U-50d. I can tell it takes the pin style plug, but the biggest thing I don't know is whether it needs any particular resistance incorporated into the probe, or if I can just buy whatever leads I can find with the right plugs.

Any help, direction to manuals, or other information would be greatly appreciated. Both of these projects have languished in the basement for a while, but it seems like we're going to be in lock down a bit longer, so I've been working through my pile!

Thanks. Now, if it can be easily explained, how would I have known that. I see the 20000 DC Ω/V statement on the meter, but I assumed that was describing a protection level. I didn't realize that it would tell me about the probe. Just looking to get educated.
 
VTVMs are generally high-sensitivity,high impedance devices. The (usually) 1meg resistor in the probe lead is to reduce the amount of noise being injected into the unit. Multimeters,on the other hand,are low impedance devices,and do not require this isolation. VTVMs that also measure resistance typically have a "bypass the resistor" switch built into the probe for this function.

Analogue multimeters,and most modern digital models,also utilize the same test leads for multiple functions (VDC,VAC,RES,AAC,ADC),and have eliminated the probe resistor to accommodate this requirement.The modern DMMs,due to circuit advances,no longer require this isolating resistor.

2mm is about what the plugs on my RCA's leads measure to, although those are just simple pins, not banana. I didn't realize that they made 2mm banana, I'll have to look into that and see how well it works. Thanks!

EDIT: You can get excellent quality probes from these guys. Absolutely top of the line,but not too expensive. Still,even at under twenty buck a set,they will cost more than the meter is worth.

I wish I would have seen this before ordering new leads from Simpson! The originals are great quality but really expensive!
 
hm, I actually need a set for one of my Simpsons and a standard shielded banana type. Thanks for the link
