Well, another AK purchase that was completely beyond expectations. MAXZ28 sold me his Sansui G-8000, and what a great receiver it turned out to be. Very good condition and sounding even better. He was very patient with my questions and made the purchase almost painless (I did, after all, have to pay him). Thanks again, Darren.

It was alot of fun reviving the G8K with the new veneer and I'm glad that you are more than pleased with the results. I'm relieved it reached you unscathed. In a few months, you'll have to forward some pictures of the Sansui once the cherry veneer darkens some with age. If you want to excelerate the aging, set it in the sunlight but be sure you rotate it so each side gets adequate, even exposure.
