A few days ago I responded to a post from Rod G-6000, offering up a free pair of Infinity RS-5000 cabinets. I picked them up tonight, a couple of minor dings, otherwise in great shape, whoo hoo!!
I wanted to say thanks to Rod for offering these up!
Aside from Rods act of kindness, the best part of this is that I had bought what I thought was a complete set of RS-4000 drivers and crossovers a few months ago, and had planned on sticking the Emits and mids into these cabinets along with some Ohm C3 woofers I have lying around. However, when I took a closer look, I'd actually bought all of the RS-5000 internals!
So, I'm only an internal bracing job and a refoam job away from having a complete set! (As a side note, the Ohm C3 drivers look almost identical, but have much beefier magnets, so I might give them a try in these cabs, just for chuckles).
Anyhow, thanks again Rod, and it was a pleasure meeting you!
