The 2A3 amp that MN AKers built

Redboy, I am in agreement with you the over the real critical, but only you can listen and appreciate the music with the valve 2A3 in your nice amp. When I finishes the Set 2A3 I was impression by the warm of the triodes, naturality sound. Before I make the Set 300B and not me so good front to 2A3. I finished Set 45 and I very more impression by the quality sound front to 2A3 and 300B .In my order and this it is according to my pleasure and ear: 1) 45, 2) 2A3 and of last 300B, so that 300B will have as much fame, I do not know? Martin, I think the words "according to my pleasure" have everything to do with it. There are so many variables to this hobby that it's probably unlikely that you'll ever hear exactly what I'm hearing unless you sit in my listening room and have my ears transplanted onto your head! Tubes, components, circuits, parts, and all the trappings that go with them play such impossibly varied roles that it's all pretty subjective. I think the best you can do is align yourself with a few others that seem to have similar taste, and enjoy the music!

That said, I've rather enjoyed the music around here lately!
 
Hi, Redboy, the term "according to my pleasure", I believe that me badly so that you did not understand the sense in that. I said it you must understand considering it that my native language is the Spanish, "chapuceo" the English, warm greeting, Martin and enjoy the music in your fabulous Set 2A3
 
So.......................What's next? Lot's of great tubes out there for SET. :thmbsp: Maybe something indirectly heated?
 
Next project is an outright clone of my little SE 6BQ5 Olson amp. I've sourced all the parts except transformers at this point. I don't think I'll put as much into making that one look so good, but if in the end it makes decent music I'll be pretty thrilled.
