The Audiokarma Official Steam Engines Magazine

Here is it - the steam engines thread. Please post anything that is related to steam engines here.

I am a steam engines fan since I was about four years old.

I am a lousy photographer, I hope that you'll enjoy the show anyway...

The pictures show a tourist train last Sunday at our railway station. Don't miss to click on the pictures in order to enlarge them...

So this engine will push the train.

This engine will pull the train.

[Rockyhill]

Are the regular locomotives electric (vs this steam engine)?

[harman/kardon]

The date of the construction (Baujahr) of the pulling engine was 1959. It was the last steam engine ever built in Germany.

Yes, Rockyhill.

Dining car from the early fifties.

Still standing...

[harman/kardon]

[harman/kardon]

Now the train leaves the station!

[harman/kardon]

Goodbye!

Great stuff, Chris! They will last forever, if looked after [ not to mention in our hearts! ].

Cheers, og

Couldn't resist 'Googling' the # in the OP - 52 7596 is well known, mate!

Cheers, og

I assume those are coal-burners. Is the coal fed automatically into the firebox on those locomotives?

Don't miss the youtube video "Most epic steam race". I meantioned this one already about two years ago. The "race" is starting from the same station you see on my pictures...

No, you have to shovel it into the firebox.
