Well it's finally here,safe and sound...4-Channel sound that is As part of Grumpy's clearing out of some of his audio gear,I'm the proud owner of still another JVC 4-channel receiver,the big daddy 4VR-5456X.I have it's little brother,the 4VR-5436,and also have the 4VR-5445.
The 5456 is a real beaut,and thanks to Grumpy for his patience and a very well done job on the packaging to allow her to get here in one piece,lucky UPS didn't abuse it too bad :yes: Here's a photo of the new arrival and a page from the brochure I have from JVC. Rob

sweet lookin quad, Rob. 64x4 is fairly heafty, but does this have a bridgable amp? I've never seen a JVC quad like that, way cool.

Seriously, tho, nice receiver. I have the 5446 and 5555x quad receivers and like them, and my JR-S501/600 take backseats to no one either. JVC is generally underappreciated, but they made solid stuff, and their SEA was light years ahead of their competition.
