The Byrds - Sundazed Mono Reissues

I just bought reissues of the Byrds first 5 lps on the Sundazed/Columbia label in Mono and they sound great! The covers are the exact same reporductions as the original albums. I think these are even better than when they issued the first 4 with bonus tracks in Stereo back in 2002. Anyone else get these? Also I bought the reissued Dr. Byrds and Mr. Hyde lp and am waiting for the store to get "Sweethearts of the Rodeo". So Byrds fans are there any essential other Byrds lps that I need to get?

If you like the Byrds' country side, Gram Parsons' solo work might be worth checking out. He's given some credit in starting "country-rock" and helped start Emmylou Harris' career. Too bad he had to die young.

I've got his albums "G.P." and "Grievous Angel" on a CD (Emmylou sings with him on a lot of the tracks). Not sure if they've been reissued on LP or not (probably have). They're solid efforts.

he's an older polish player isn't he?

Good stuff!

I own several Byrds LP's none in mono.

Sundazed makes great stuff, I have worked really hard to find original MONO copies and love em. Do you have Untitled? It is is a good record, I like the Studio stuff on it better than the Live stuff except Lover of The Bayou. Chestnut Mare make the album a must own for Byrds fans.

Yea that Byrds mono set as been in my target zone for a couple of months now. Getting ready to pull the trigger. Glad to hear it gets a thumbs up here.

I don't have Untitled Spidey Jack but plan on getting it as I saw a used copy for about 4 bucks at the record shop I go to. Yeah Jack Lord, I think you should get them. I haven't stopped listening to "The Notorious Byrd Brothers"...awesome especially Draft Morning, Goin' Back and I Wasn't Born To Follow".
