The Gryphon

Dark Side Of The Moon ......Pink Floyd.......Dual layer CD/SACD ..........This is a timeless classic that is a good start for what I hope is going to be a long running thread. This album stays with you through life and looks different depending upon your age.....reflections on life , money, religion, people sanity and of course.....The Great Gig In The Sky...........................

Clear Light- S/T....Collector's Choice...U.S. 2002....From 1967,this psych band was of interest due to it's use of two drummers and the fact that Cliff De Young, the actor, was the lead singer. I bought the album in 1967 and I still have it buried somewhere in my house. My favorite cut (I just mentioned this in a "covers" thread on AK) was "Mr. Blue", by Tom Paxton that slowly builds up to a mind melting climax. "Street Singer" was another excellent cut with a kind of Vincent Price horror movie vibe. I'm including photos of De Young from '67 and then a later one from his acting career.

Travis- The Man Who
1999
UK Release

probably my single favorite album ever. Think Radiohead-lite. These guys are from Scotland, and they've been around a while and are still producing great music including a new album titled Everything at Once here in 2016.

Needle-drop that I made of Tom Petty's Greatest Hits new double vinyl. Sounds great in the car, almost as good as the vinyl!

Oh Jesus save me!"
