The Dark Side of the Moon, Remastered

A few years ago I was at a yard sale held by a musician. He had a number of albums for sale from his own private collection.

He took good care of them and it showed.

I bought a copy of DSOTM, I’d been looking for one for quite a while. It has both posters, but not the stickers.

So I checked the dead wax numbers on discogs, and guess what, it is a first US pressing.

I also got a copy of In The Court of the Crimson King which I’d been looking for forever. It is a Collectors Edition, black label with gold printing.

Forgot the Ikea name, but they sell a (3) record display shelf (open) for half the price of anyone else (even Amazon). Mine were $9.99 a couple years ago, plus they'll ship. That way the young man can alternate album pretty easily.
Thank you Hajidub! I just checked and we have them in stock locally for $14.99 CAD. I think I'll pick three of them up tomorrow. He got a delivery in the middle of the week from Indigo, so he is definitely interested. His teacher even mentioned that he was talking to her about my record collection. Too bad I just sold my Technics SL-Q2 turntable. It would have been worthy.

I was considering a different type on Amazon that opens in the front, but these are quite a bit cheaper and will get him started.

Sweet. They're really good quality. Fits 3 records, with plenty of gap, perfectly.

I own the same German Quad copy, a 74 US pressing, a 78 US pressing and the 1st MFSL pressing.
The Quad and the other 3 are different mixes, but from the same masters.
The MFSL has only been tracked once, when I made my Cassette copy; but it did sound better than my 78 US pressing.

I do enjoy my Quad copy, but the system is a very different system than my Stereo.
Wow. I just realized I as well purchased the 50th Anniversary box set. ( sealed.. )
I think I need to back off on my purchases :)
