I have always liked this song by them "Friday on my mind" and never realized til later on that members (George Young and Malcom Young) is none other than AC/DC'S Angus Youngs' older brothers.

Before youtube came along I sometimes used call up oldie radio stations and request it.

I have Earthquake's cover on an old LP, seen them do it a couple times too. Yeah I know, who the F is Earthquake? :D

Friday On My Mind is on Bowie's Pin Ups, a most excellent cover if you ask me. Actually, all of Pin Ups is stellar. If you're so inclined, check out the Easybeats Gonna have a good Time CD.

Earthquake is on A&M, I might have it confused with Hookfoot (cover: predominantly red with blue lettering- Earth, then Quake under it?) and had a song called "Things"... Correct me if I'm wrong on the label. Classic funky-rock song from the 70's.

Harry Vanda and George Young went on to form Flash in the Pan in the late 70's. Their first two albums were damn good,new wave with keyboards.

You got it. The red with blue lettering cover is their first album. I think they moved on to the Berzerkly label after 2-3 albums on A&M.
 
Vanda & Young were prolific pop songwriters...as well as the guys behind one of my all-time favorite singles: "Natural Man" by the Marcus Hook Roll Band. (Which was Vanda & Young, of course)

Edit: Just took a peek at the 'bay...a promo copy of the single (which may be the only type that exists) was $32.50...reduced from $50. Think I'll hang on to mine.
