Well - it worked properly 1/2 mile later ...yeah high resistance somewhere might have drug the coil voltage down too much. Horns pull a pretty good amount of current.
Lucas - its why the British drink warm beer!

Black tees are counterproductive on hot summer days when not in moving air or indoors. I very seldom wear mine in summer, besides they show cat hair quite well!Yep, some squid had it arse backwards when we got the car!
It was in PULLER config but in FRONT of the radiator, so its been wrong for the whole time we owned it and for the previous owner as well.
I did NOT change the wiring polarity or flip the fan on the motor - all we did was remove the fan assembly, still in Puller mode, and reinstall it behind the radiator,
on the motor side, where it should have been all along.
Its not a stupid hot day, 80 degrees now, but we just did a 20 mile loop around Fairfax and Vienna. Some bumper to bumper and it mostly showed 3/8 temp, occasionally going to 1/2 at stoplights, then watched it lowering back to 3/8 once we started moving. Proper behavior.
Stopped at Pure Pasty in Vienna to grab their award winning Pasties (menu changes on Thursdays) - take home & freeze for a quick meal later at some date.
Then drove to a local Public House, The Hawk & Griffin, for brunch - a scotch eggs, Welsh rarebit, fish and chips for Emma, and a couple draft beers
to celebrate our success (Old Speckled hen, a "Hawk & Griffin" local draft, and Emma liked my Speckled Hen enough she had a 2nd)
I was driving, so 1 beer for me was fine!

Had no idea we'd go to the Hawk & Griffin pub today when I put the shirt on this morning -
I just wanted a clean black T shirt that wasn't falling apart like so many do!
That should never happen. I would supply the horn with a dedicated B+ line from the battery through a relay triggered by the horn button, fuse as necessary. What ever is causing it will no longer be a problem.Well - it worked properly 1/2 mile later ...

I considered adjustable rear shocks for my tr7 as I had almost everything off the body shell at one time, was unaware at the time of the Gaz units. It's not as if I'm gonna haul heavy loads in the bewt once I finish the reconstruction, whenever that happens, so I'll run what I have.Next step is replacing the rear shocks. TRouble has old Konis on the back, likely installed by the previous owner who had the rollbar installed and autocrossed her.
To adjust the Konis I'd have to remove them anyway, and once installed, the GAZ shocks can be adjust via the knob without removal.

The 2026 Vintage Triumph conference in TX this year is cancelled since the hotel flooded!
I didn't plan to attend, but I hear next year is Valley Forge, PA - and like Carlisle last year, thats a doable drive!
Well, when we went to Carlisle last year and we had (light) weekend luggage, tools and spares, and lawn chairs on the rack,
we heard her bottom if we hit highway bumps at speed.

Youre supposed to jump up in your seats a split sec prior to hitting those bumps!

- I have the EXACT same grey leather grip. It has served me well for years. Looks like you two had a grand time!Well, when we went to Carlisle last year and we had 2 of us with (light) weekend luggage, tools and spares, and lawn chairs on the rack,
