The Fisher 400

Hey folks. If you read my post in Dollar and sense you would know I got a Fisher 400 for 60 bucks which is now setting at Terry Dewicks shop for a run though. Well, Now for the rest of the story. I noticed in the CL pic there was something on top of the Fisher that looked like it might be a turntable. Turned out to be a Benjamin Miracord 50H in really good shape and with cover. Got that for 30 bucks. So I ask what else you got? He says a got another turntable upstairs but it doesn't work. Turned out to be a AR-XB :banana: that he wanted 10 bucks for. All that was wrong with it was a worn out belt. Yehaa. So for $100.00 I think I did pretty good. Both turntables work great and are very quite. Oh and the Fisher worked also but took it to Terry just in case it was out of spec.

Wow!!! You were at the right place at the right time. Everything looks to be in excellent. For the AR to be bone stock, that is one of the nicest I have seen in a while. Are you keeping both tables? The next question, what are you going to do about speakers, do you have any in mind?

Hope you have many enjoyable years with your gear! :music:

Thank you and yes I was in the right place at the right time. Yes I am going to keep both turntables to replace two others that I will be making a combo unit for a friend in need. As far as speakers for The Fisher I have a pair of AR4x's I was going to start with and if that doesnt sound right I will try my DLK 1 1/2's. Unfortunately speaker prices down here are a little high right now for me so I will keep looking to be in the right place at the right time for more speakers.

Great score. I have a 50H I'm working on, and after I finished my Fisher 500TX rebuild I have been watching for a unit in the 400/500 series.

Now if you need a set of JBL cf-120 for your 400.......

I'm glad you found some super quality stuff at really decent prices. Good for you!!

Sometimes it's difficult to part with pieces, but like many, it's good to have them used by someone at whichever level of audio they are involved. Honored to have sold you a few goodies.

Looks like you're set for awhile, but keep your eyes open....:music:
