The lost art of the music video.

The music video has been around for decades now. I would say it hit it's stride right around '90, and continued on until about 2005, or so. That's about the time "music stations" started getting away from showing videos in favour of reality and other programming. Not to say that videos aren't still made, and shown. Just that the only ones generally seen on television are the safe top 40 type. Not much in the way of "art" or "interesting" or "different" or whatever you want to call it. Bands are still making videos, and putting them on Youtube and Vevo. But, it's tough to stumble upon these unless you search for them specifically. Unlike the rose-tinted glass days of my youth, spent watching hours of videos a day, and seeing some great and unknown to me artists and videos.

Please post links to your favourite newer and current music videos that you wouldn't see on the countdown programs. Please only post if you really like the song AND the video.

I'll start with:
(both may be NSFW, depending on your workplace)
Thee Oh Sees: Lupine Dominus
and
Thee Oh Sees: Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster

I agree with a couple of those videos, but just a couple. I don't like live performance videos all that much. While the performance may be good and all, it's not what I want to see if I'm watching music videos. I'd much rather see something like this (QOTSA - Go with the flow)
