Here's a great one I really like. "Lightnin' Strikes" entered the Billboard Hot 100 on December 25, 1965 at a position of 93, and climbed to number one on February 19, 1966 and spent 15 weeks on the charts. While Lou Christie had other singles that made the Billboard Top 100, this was his only number one single in the US.

When I was a Sr. in High School this was THE band! Saw them three times in concert. For the Combat Rock tour I was so broke I sold my stereo cabinet and some other treasured stuff just to buy Clash tickets. Awesome.
