I really like the sax, especially the deep throaty sound of the tenor sax. It's has a very sensual feel... almost like sex. :D

Jazz aside what rock, pop, and soul songs that have the sax that you like. Here are couple of my favorites in no particular order.

Motels - Suddenly Last Summer, Remember The Nights
Marvin Gaye - Mercy, Mercy Me
Lou Reed - Walk on the Wild Side
Brian Ferry - Don't Stop the Dance
Rolling Stones - Waiting On a Friend

That's easy - Rolling Stones - Can't Ya Hear Me Knocking by a mile and a half.

Also we saw Seger at the Forum in '03. Alto Reed (aka. Tom Cartmell) was pretty impressive 15 feet away. We had VIP/Press seats right of the corner of the stage at stage level. In this crappy cellphone pic of Seger you can't see Alto, but you can see some of his arsenal in the right foreground.

+1.:thmbsp: Although Waiting on a Friend is right up there. Actually Bobby Keys probably has several entries on my top ten picks.

There are a couple of good ones on Bowie tunes:

Drive In Saturday
Modern Love
 
Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street - that sax sound dominated the second half of the 70s (at least in pop tunes with sax breaks).
 
"Rip This Joint", "Brown Sugar" and "Live With Me", all Stones classics.

Two of the worst sax solos, "Heatwave" (surprisingly), and "Angel Baby".
 
Pretty much all of the The Dave Clark Five's output features a saxophone. Today the DC5 doesn't get more respect but "Glad All Over" knocked "I Want To Hold Your Hand" from number one in the British charts and they had 15 consecutive top twenty hit singles in the U.S. in a two year period a feat only beated by The Beatles. But, yeah, probably the most saxophone of any rock/pop group.
