The Vibraslap Thread

LOL INTERNETS
More Cowbell? I say MORE VIBRASLAP! Everyone knows it's a favorite instrument of Cake. Finding songs by Cake with Vibraslap is easy (Go ahead and link them anyway).

To celebrate this musical marvel, I thought it might be fun to link the songs on YouTube or if no video is online just post it up. Don't forget the all important counter time when the first "slap" happens.

I'll go first and I hope many follow...

Travis "Side" @ the 11 second mark.

The long lead-in to Traffic's Low Spark of High Heeled Boys culminates with a Vibraslap. Back in the smoky college dorm room days, we would all listen and guess as to exactly when it would hit.

Can I just say here and now that I had no idea that such a thing exists, and that I went to Youtube in order to see what it sounded like.

Well,of course I have heard one.I always attributed 'that' sound to an object that I also don't know the name of,but you see them in depictions of 1920s celebrations being twirled in people's hands(at football games etc).

I used to think there was one in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (starting around 0:26), but now that I listen to it again it might be someone blowing air through a horn and fluttering the valves. Or maybe it's just a really low-fi recording of a vibra-slap.
