Thermal paste application?

When applying grease to TO3's, I use a drop about the size of a pencil eraser between the two pins.

I haven't bought any yet so I can't verify performance; the ones I've seen claiming better performance were a dark purple colour, quite soft and almost jelly-like. They feel noticably cool to the touch, evidently because they conduct the heat away from your fingers.

Beryllium oxide is a fantastic thermal conductor, but it is exceptionally poisonous, and in certain places impossible to buy without a permit.
Don't drink beryllium oxide, snort it or rub it all over your body, and you will be just fine.

Enough is enough, this has turned into a crapfest and lost it's way beyond redemption. Say goodnight Gracie.
