Thinking about buying a Auna system

From the description, I'd give it a pass.
QUALITY: Klarstein began to turn the world of household goods on its head in 2008. Since then, the mix of high-quality materials and modern design has inspired many amateur chefs. The range extends from fridges and blenders to air conditioners.

"With one transcendent channel of high grade multichannel sound audio power."

Why aren't both channels transcendent?

OP is the UK, I think, given his Amazon link. Why not something UK made? The Audiolab 6000A is sweet.

Hi James,

I would never speak for someone else's finances/budget etc however I would suggest you take this step by step.

I see that you're moving on from the Mini system below so my guess is the speakers that came with it might be better served being upgraded to complement the Yamaha, which is a nice choice by the way

That's what I would focus on first and then figure out a good CD player.

Don't know what it's like 'over there', but over here used CDP's can always be found in thrift stores, cheap. I have 3 or 4, all over 30 years old and still working fine. I'd pick up about anything now, just to have something to use and, as @Dswankey suggested, focus on getting some better speakers. You can always get a better player later, when funds allow.

I agree that the Yamaha is a much better choice.

Thank you all for the good advice OK I will buy the Yamaha Amp and then focus on some better speakers

talking about speakers what would the members suggest looking for PLEASE give referance code for the speakers or even a link to what I'm looking for.

And yes I'm from the UK (Warwickshire)

People will want to know how much you have to spend before making a recommendation for you. And maybe a little about the area they will be in..how big of a room.

The company I retired from was originally based in Cambridge and I spent 8 weeks there one summer for training.

I have no suggestions for new, but for used you can't go wrong with either Braun or Canton.
I was going to recommend a pair of Canton Quinto 510, Canton Karat 100 for a smallish room or Braun 710.
But the Canton's might be too small in a large room and the Braun's are getting more expensive all the time.

For a larger room that Yamaha amp should still be able to drive a Quinto 520 or Karat 200.

The Braun 630, 730 and 830 are pretty nice and are generally not very expensive.

In a smallish room the Grundig HiFi Box 650 will give a similar sound to the small Canton's and Brain 630. But I have been steering clear of them because one or both of the tweeters are often dead and they are getting hard to find.

Again, as others have said, it depends on the room size and budget.

I do not have any specific links other than to say look on ebay.de.
