This A Good Deal?--Indy-CL

I'm not an expert but if they are in VERY good condition, I would say it's a fair price, but on the high side of fair... if that makes any sense. The one nice thing is that according to the seller it has new driver loads! That's a plus.

I have a set... Great sounding speakers and I don't see too many on CL. $150 is a bit high but if nothing wrong and the cabs are in great shape I dont see a bad purchase.

Check if they were refoamed recently. If not you will have to do it soon.
All BA speakers I had (and I had a few) suffered from foam disintegration.
Otherwise great speakers though I think $150 is a bit high.

AK member Delihaus is the resident expert on these speakers. His advice should be considered if possible.

they're great sounding speakers but that price is too high.

I had some that were mint and it took me months to sell them for 75 bux.

I know some AK'ers up in Maine that have had some on CL for months at 100 bux.....

I think these are nice speakers but if you are patient you can get some A-150's for less than 150.00 and they trump the A-100's.

Agreed on A-150s trumping the A-100. That price is even above what 150s often go for (though 150 for 150s seems like a natural price...and that's a lot of speaker for that amount).

I thought the A-150 to be a great, simple speaker that did a lot of things right. The A-100 was just so so. I wasn't blown away by my pair.

Seems a bit high to me. I've had 200's and 400's and they didn't sell for much above that price when the market was better. That being said, if you're buying to keep, you could spend much more and not get a better speaker.
