LOL.. now that's pretty cool... But cooler if it was kept original...

There are tube ipod players out there on the market..

Cool! I'm downloading that page since it's so unique and different. If anyone nearby wants to buy it and report on how well it sounds/works, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You got that right, it's about 1941. I think it is now ruined but that's just my opinion. I vote to keep this stuff as original as possible.

I agree, the thing is almost next door to me, but if I go look at it I'm afraid I'd have to punch the guy in the nose for ruining a beautiful old piece.

I dont know, As long as he didnt hack it up to do the install, I think its a good use for an old unit. There are more older units around than people who want them. My local CL is literally filthy with them.
Ive got a pioneer XM/Mp3 dock tucked away in my Telefunken Console and I think its fantastic. So does everyone that comes to my house.

I say yeah for him. I'll bet even though people like it, he will still have a hard time getting rid of it.

...

He did hack it up though. The ipod is where the TT used to be. Not that it would have been a great TT, but with antique radios I'm for keeping them original.

Maybe the guy didn't hack it up. Maybe he found it taken apart and trashed and then at least saved it from the dump by re-purposing it...

Seems the guy sure put a lot of work into the cab, and that should atleast say something.

I'm telling you, ya'll are so quick to say something bad and bash a guy before you consider all the possibilities..
