Boy, some people have all the fun. :D Funny, I was just spinnin' some Kansas (the band) vinyl tonight. :music: EDIT: I guess I'm in the wrong state, but still not THAT far off. ;)

Heck, here we all to often (unfortunatly at least once a yr I'm told) have Black Angus beef steers escape from the local meat locker in my small town. "How I know this you ask?" Last years escapee ran himself out in front of our '99 Dodge Durango and was smacked at about 55 mph...:sigh: :tears:

So, you technically had beef on the grille?

Amazingly the steer was still alive after running (yep, he was) out in front of my Durango. I was thankful that no humans were hurt, but I was so p***ed at the steer I wanted to get out and shoot him myself:gigglemad but the responding Officer suggested it was much "better" if He did it...:sigh:

Poor Moo Moo

By the way make my steak medium well....

Can ya get a special road kill permit and take that beef home? Like you can with deer. Or does the owner get whatever's left after the Durango Cube Steak machine.

Reminds me of that old Tom Lehrer song about bullfighting that wanders off into dogs...

"Rover was killed by a Pontiac
And it was done with such grace and agility
that the witnesses awarded the driver
both ears and the tail"

When a big steer puts it's head down and decides it doesn't want to go where you want it to go, look out! They can be as ornery as a bull. Even more fun if they still have horns. I once spent 2 days fixing pen fences after a angry steer busted them up.

Cheers
