This one may be tuff.....Spec 1 & 2 advise?

My goal with each system that i bring in is to outperform the last one. Currently the bar is set fairly high with the current system so i started thinking out of the box a little I just bought two Pioneer Spec 2's and a Spec 1. They have not arrived yet so i have not looked at functions but what i would like to do is use them both at the same time to push a total of four speakers. I would like to have 250 watts going to each speaker in a "stacked" speaker format. Will i need to split the signal coming from Spec 1? Are there any issues in doing so? I know Spec 1 has two main outs....can they be used in A+B mode...or A or B only?

Also when i think of a couple of "compact" speakers i currently own that will really rock the Mach one and Klipsch Heresy are on my short list. They are both fairly easy to come by around here so any thoughts as to what would be the better choice for me to use in this format with dual Spec 2's? What i am trying to accomplish with this is the ultimate. old school, rock and roll, blow your hair back system. Thanks in advance.

You connect the SPEC-2s speaker outs into the SPEC-1 speaker in connectors, then you connect the speakers to the SPEC-1 speaker outputs. You will then be able to switch between A, B or A+B using the SPEC-1. It's an unusual system and it just makes the already super long signal path of the SPEC-1 longer. It's not a very good pre-amp.

According to the service manual, both of the Spec-1 outputs are active at all times except of course when they are muted. So you can connect each of the Spec-1 outputs to the two Spec-2 amps to power your stacked speakers. There should be no need to split the signal to feed the Spec-2’s.

Running the speaker wiring through the Spec-1 not only allows for a single amplifier to access one or both of two sets of speakers but it also provides a delay upon power up to eliminate the turn on transient. But since it will only allow for connection of one amplifier, you will need to connect your two Spec-2 amps directly to each pair of speakers. But, the Spec-2 manual indicates that it also incorporates a delaying function when the amp is powered on so you should not experience a turn on transient.
