Thorens TD-1 - SC ?? - MKII

I'm hunting around for a TD-160. I ran across this, a TD-160 SC MKII, I've never seen the SC. What does this mean? Also, is there any way to tell if this table has the desirable platter bearing bronze ball? Maybe that is not really a thing, but any advice or musings are appreciated.

Had one like this with the brushed aluminum plinth MKII, personally liked it since they are somewhat rare.
As to the bronze bearing ball never heard of that.

Looks like a "handyman special" to me. I don't recognize the tonearm but it seems to be too long for the TT and would hit the dustcover during play, so you have to leave the cover open or take it off (easy to do on these). The tonearm base may be from a Tesla (the Czech TT maker, ancestor of today's Pro-Ject), not sure.

The platter mat is not original, either.

Ahh, BC!! I couldn't read it. Base without tonearm makes sense. I think I'm going to go for a TD-160, first version. Thanks for everybody's help.
