Thorens TD 145/Denon DL-300

Would like to thank Speakerlabfan for picking this Thorens/Denon combo up for me. Certainly much honor among AK members. This is what makes this site so great. Meeting and making good friends. So, a couple of questions. Would like to know a couple of things about the Thorens. The Thorens TT's that I have seen in the past have a aluminum strip across the front/middle of the wood base. This table does not, but in pics on the web of other 145's these decks do have the strip. Was there a cosmetic change in the 145's? Is this 145 then a 1st series and not a MK II? 2nd question about the Denon DL-300, when was this cartridge produced, is it still available, and how does it compare to other Denons? Thanks

Thanks Larry - as you know I was just playing by the rules with this crazy CL deal. Yeah this is a great site for doing the networking thing to help find and share gear... and records that you need, and make friends. :thmbsp:

Speaking of which great to see you today and thanks for loading me up with several dozen great condition LPs from your dupes pile. I now have so much good condition stuff to fill in holes in my collection. I'll be on the lookout for a good condition Hejira and White Album for you.

Still haven't heard back from the guy with the large Advents, and I missed meeting a buyer for a pair of Baby Advents that i have. Apparently no one is looking at/answering their email today, and I don't have phone numbers. Oh well...it'll happen. :thmbsp::music:

Nice weather I think keeps most people away from there computers or phones. Outside BBQ' ing and such. I would think your phone will ringing off the hook soon. You are welcome about the lp's. Same for me as well. I will also be looking for the Joni Mitchell Blue for you and me as well. ttyl, L
 
(Shhh, don't tell anyone that it's pretty much 10 weeks straight of paradise up here (without the humidity) after July 4th. Almost makes up for the constant mist the rest of the year... if anyone asks, it's raining today and will rain tomorrow. :) )

Thats right, for the next few weeks, the forecast calls for more rain.....:no:
