Thorens TD-145 MK II Cue Lever set too far to the left

Hoping some Thorens TD 145/160 MK II owners can help out with a problem I have. The Cue Lever rests too far left when it is in UP position. I've read its possible that a stop pin has broken or ??.
It operates correctly and auto lift/shutoff works properly. I just can't figure out if there's any way to adjust this without having to remove the entire cueing assembly. I don't want to risk upsetting the auto lift/off position setting doing this if possible. Hope someone can offer some good suggestions.

Can you remove the lever from above and see if the lock washer is still in place? If it's hard to remove, put some padding down and use two spoons as fulcrums.

The star washer is in place. Here's a photo. The lever points to the CORRECT position in the DOWN position.

I came upon a solution to my problem that may prove useful to others reading this; I found the spot that once had a stop post that had sheared off completely. Using a 7/64 drill bit I removed the remaining gray plastic down to about 3/16 inch or so and inserted a steel rivet in the hole with a slurry of JB Weld to hold it.
