kaplang

Works for me !
Would you Thorens experts please offer me a price I should expect to pay for a TD124.
:scratch2:
The description is.
#Original Pristine Vintage Thorens TD124 MK1
#Original Pristine Dust Cover
#Audio-Technica AT3482P Cartridge
#Shure SME 3009 ToneArm

Is this a good model Thorens TT?

Thanks.

I think a mint unit without base and without arm would set you back about $1,000 to $1,200

One with a base might go for $1,400 to $1,600

One with base and arm..., and we're talking the $1,800 bucks all the way up to $2,500 if it has a a 12" SME arm

It only says Thorens TD 124 on the speed control plate. I am assuming it is the 1. I have the serial number. Is their a place I can go to determine if it is an
MKI or MKII using that number?

If that were the case I would sell my second td124 with SME arm. I got my first TD 124 from ebay for around $800 with a grado wooden arm. I got my second with a SME 3009 arm for $750.

What a lucky Spartanmanor! And a good "AK spirit" Johncan! ":thmbsp:" to you both! :thmbsp:

It would say II on the speed control plate so if it does not then it's the MK I version.

Here is a link to an AK thread that has a photo of the MK I in the fourth post
