Thorens TD165 - Tone Arm Disassembly

I have a TD165 with broken plastic / missing plastic for the antiskate arm mounts.

I have a different version of the tonearm gimbal with those plastic parts on it that I could use for parts

I can't figure out how to get the tonearm gimbal apart to be able to swap the parts and make a good working tonearm.

The manual shows a great blow-up of the parts in question, but doesn't give me a clue how to get them apart

Anybody know the solution to this puzzle ?

Problem solved - both the silver tube at the base, and the brass tube, unscrewed with a lot of force using slip joint pliers
