Hi guys, I own Pioneer PL400 but there is a guy that offers me a make an exchange with his Marantz TT221.
To be honest I want the Marantz because I own PM550 and will match altogether in gold color and same brand :D But I cannot find some review on the net for the Marantz TT221.
Some Reviews, Thoughts? Sound quality? Although I m aware that sound depends on the cartridge and stylus
Thank you

I don't know the Marantz, but it appears to spec OK. The lightweight tonearm might be more difficult to match with today's budget cartridges than the Pioneer's light-medium arm.

The Pioneer has a little more substance. It has Quartz locked speed. Heavier. Specs out a bit better.

I have a PL-500 and it feels fairly substantial. I would guess the PL-400 isn't from a completely different universe.

I wouldn't do it, but don't have direct experience with either one.

Thank you for your reply, and nice to point at me for the lightweight tonearm, I will have to check what are the shops offers for that arm :/
