You left out of of the earlier internet-based speaker manufacturers, Home Theater Direct or HTD. Certainly not a "white van" speaker operation since this company was actually a spinoff of AudioSource. I even went to their corporate office to pick a pair of its earliest HTD Level Three bookshelf speakers....wonderful workmanship and pretty good sound. Certainly competitive with the JBL HLS-610 that I had at the same time. HTD has moved on and their products seem a lot more ambitious.
I can speak firsthand for SVSound. Awesome products, first rate company, customer service and support. I have a 20-39 PC+ cylinder sub and couldn't be happier with it. It did drop the driver about 18 months in and after confirming with them that it was in fact properly setup with an SPL meter, they sent out a new and improved driver that has been pounding out bass for 3 years now. I run across many others with SVS subs and have heard no complaints whatsoever.

I can vouch somewhat for Vidsonix. Not that anyone else has mentioned them here.
I have their 12" powered subwoofer and i basically couldn't be happier with it. It would be convenient if it had a built in isolation transformer on the line input, but my ground loop is my own problem. It even makes a pretty good endtable.
My brother-in-law has some of their stage monitors and PA speakers and is extremely happy with them for what they cost. He also has their 10" powered sub, which isn't as good as the 12". He says the 10" powered sub distorts occasionally when his kids are watching action movies. Say, one big movie explosion per month.
They're very decent folks, and they're prompt and helpful when you email them.

In todays world, it may be the only way to buy good 2 channel gear at a decent price. There's only about 4 dealers that even carry 2 channel stuff within 100 miles and this is a major metro area. A couple of those work out of their house. The selection and ability to comparatively listen is severely limited with a dealer working out of their house. In other words, even in a major metro area, selection of new gear sucks.

I have Ohm speakers which were upgraded via their online store. Many people have bought speakers from them online...the only way. Generally you hear and read raves for their sound both here and on other sites as well as places like 6Moons or is it Blue Moon?
