Thoughts on this TT / outer ring setup?

Ok, I've given up on putting a periphery ring on my 1210 with its fluid damper. This may be better: my backup table is a Pioneer PL518 with an Orto 2M Bronze cart. I kept this one up for vinyl that was too warped for the 1210 and its 2M Black. The PL518 has a Bren1 weight that I think is about a pound or maybe little less. TT Weights makes a "seconds" ring that is accordingly priced less but weighs about a pound or maybe a little over per their website. I think at 13.52" daimeter it will fit my PL518. So, with an approx pound on the spindle and another approx pound on the edge, will my PL518 motor have any trouble bearing the weight?

I don't see why, but I'm not familiar with your deck. These things turn once every 1.8 seconds so the rate of wear will be quite slow at any rate.
