Looking at that as well as the actual manual, it appears they rated it in stereo. That's good. :thumbsup:

With my package, the rating with one channel driven was stated not only in the manual but on the Amazon page as well (yet they still marketed it as "660 total watts" with all 5 speakers and the sub driven...). I think the next model above was rated that way as well. Yours is one of their higher models. I was naive at the time...:dunno:
 
I also found that this Beast Needs to Breath I had a DVD and my Onkyo Pre-Amp on top of this Onkyo HT-R530 and it Got HOT!!:mad: cut some wood dowels(1 1/4")and made a two Spacers between it and the DVD so it can get some Air......everything is Running Much Cooler Now. :cool:
