Thrift store mystery speakers??????

sure that's not the holes for the transmission lines

That's what I was wondering, too. However, I didn't have time to look at them closer, as I just "tossed" them into the suburban and haven't unloaded them yet. I had enough time to test the drivers and check the veneer, but not to explore. The hole is clean, but looks like it could've had something else there, too. As finished out as the speakers are, I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to look like that or not. Pics will come when I get them in the house.

Anyone out there that can take a picture of the back of the Studio Monitor? I just picked up a pair, and mine has the speaker hook-ups and then a large square hole above it. The way the holes are finished, it looks like something is supposed to go there.

Those are the way they are intended, they are just Bass reflex speakers - not a TL.

"Tossed," hehe, Be careful, you may need an appliance dolly. I hope you didn't hurt yourself.

^^^Thanks for the link!

My 'system 1' failed to reproduce the canons, even at relatively low volumes.

The warning is not a joke; you could damage your speakers with this recording.

I think you meant cannons, unless your system has trouble reproducing the sound of shutter clicks! :thmbsp:
