To my newly minted RN.

Honey, you busted your ass for two years, kept us all hoarse with test coaching, graduated top of class, and passed the NCLEX with 75 questions (as damn near acing it as possible, while suffering a high fever).
You've been accepted into the nursing internship at Emerson Hospital as one of ten candidates accepted from a field of 200.

I am very proud of you. You will be one serious, kick ass nurse.

Now get yourself to the Doctor, you need a Lyme ELISA test.

Congratulations on the new RN! I'm glad all your hard work paid off! Good Karma from the left coast is coming your way! Best wishes for a successful and rewarding career. :thmbsp: :D

Thats great! Hope she's not to busy being a nurse that she misses the next get together! It was nice meeting you both at Markus's!

Cool to hear about the graduation... But Lyme's.. .OH MAN does that suck.. hopefully not. Hopefully she is just run down from all the schoolwork and a little R&R will perk her back up...

Congratulations to another angel of mercy.

I couldn't agree more. I was in the hospital for 9 months straight and the nurses became my best friends. To be there and watch them go handle everyone's complaints and needs and do it so compassionately is a special character trait indeed.

My wife is an RN of 15 years, currently working on her BSN and NP.

But no way does she want to be a doctor....

Congrats to your wife, may God have mercy on her soul.

Hi,

Congrats to the new RN! Having spina bifida and Cerebral Palsy as well as Type 1 Diabetes I see many an RN in clinic. Long may she prosper and give superb service. A vastly underappreciated profession in my book! :tresbon:

Thanks for the comments folks. She'll be a great nurse, she is compassionate and smart as hell. During clinical she uncovered three med errors, two of which required the hospital to file an incident report with the state. She don't fool around :nono:

You didn't meet her at Markus's Birddog, I came with Beemer. My wife has longer hair, and other significant differences. Hopefully you'll meet her at the OctoberFest :D

Cheers, fcc
