Yesterday I was unpacking my latest shipment of records from Toasted Almond, and, to my great surprise, among all the great vinyl which I had ordered, I found a truly beautiful copy of Miles Davis Amandla! I was going to pm George, and let him know about the 'mistake', but I did some searching, and learned that TA and opt80 co-conspired to send me this great album. Alan (opt80) has been responsible for a significant portion of my musical education, here on AK, and his kind gesture is just another example of that. This album is an introduction to a period in Miles Davis' catalogue which I have not previously sampled. I am looking forward to hearing this.
George, for his part, shared in the gift, and packed this with my other LPs, and all arrived in the excellent condition that his thread described. Among the rest of these beauties are some original mono Sinatra, including a 6-eye of The Voice, which looks and sounds like it might have been played only once!
Thanks, again, George and Alan.
