Miles, Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel, 10-LP box. LP1 sounds great.

Very nice! I have that same box set but in CD format. Bought it probably 25 years ago. Miles' fantastic second great quintet in magnificent form captured live over two days, 7 total sets. I see they reissued everything again. I might spring for the vinyl now. The Mosaic vinyl box set was always out of my price range, even back then. Cheers.

Edit: Just bought the vinyl set. It was cut from the original Mosaic masters... that sold me.

  • Israel Crosby: Bass

Blue Note Records on February 5, 1941.
Holy Smokes, I’ve got a copy of this recording on a Blue Note compilation that I bought in the late 60s from the grocery store. It stands out because of Meade Lux Lewis’ playing the Celeste. Small World
