Oh Please, How can you not want this record?

The Jimmy Rowles SEXtet Is : Jimmy Rowles- Piano, Red Mitchell - Bass, Larry Bunker - Vibes, Pete Candoli - Trumpet, Mel Lewis - Drums, Harold Lamb - Tenor Sax, and Barney Kessel Guitar. The music is darn good and for a Tampa the recording is pretty good. This copy that I have is Mono, yet I am promised Supersonic Sound, (which I guess is somewhere between Hi-Fi and Stereo and beyond) . Still the record cover should go down in the books as one of the best ever.

BTW: our typical uncool dork standing to the left of the black board has made the fashion faux pas of different colored socks and not only that he looks like he been painted into the picture entirely. I would love to know the whole story of its magnificent creation.
He’s just playing dumb so he “has” to stay after school.

So this is the THIRD new cover and label and leader, I saw this record in a local shop and looked it up when I got home. Kinda scary!
