todays score for me is a pioneer sx 1280.have to pick it up on wed.The guy selling it,says it won't power up,so I am really hoping its an inexpensive fix.Cosmetically,he says its a solid 8 out of 10.

Sooooo...you're saying that's a good TT I got? The whole shebang, TT, Scott & custom made cab was at a yard sale....paid the elderly fella $20 for it all.

The score was the Scott integrated amp, the Garrard Type A is just icing on the cake. The Type A is a good turntable for a changer but don't expect audiophile performance out of it.

Fully functional ones regularly sell for $25-$35 on ebay. Frequently the cartridge mounted is worth more especially if it's an old Shure M7 or M3.
