In the loudspeakers forum I saw a post about the Leak Sandwich loudspeakers. I googled them and found an article by the designer in Wireless World from 1978.
I think the world radio history archive is an incredible resource. I noticed in the same magazine there's an article by Peter Baxandall (of tone control fame) on page 41 and an article about tonearms by Tejinder Singh Randhawa on page 73.
The article about tonearm design is well worth a read.

Those old mags are a goldmine. I like the ads even better than the articles. As for the tonearm design, thank goodness we now have Excel! IMO, the UK electronic hobbyist has always been more technically advanced than here in the US. That also holds for photography.
