Tonearm Dumping Fluid For Sanyo Plus Q50 and Q25... Help!!!!

Good Morning,

I have a SANYO PLUS Q25 and a SANYO PLUS Q50 in maintenance.

The technician doing the maintenance right now doesn't have Tonearm Damping Fluid and I took care of that.

My problem is that I do not know the proper viscosity for this type of arms (light arms), I checked in a forum a gentleman who had the same problem and solved with Damping Fluid 300.00cst .....

My doubt is in the correct viscosity.

Can anyone help?

I apologize for the automatic translation

best regards

Viscosity in this case is measured in centiStokes (cSt) and 300K is very common with light to mid-mass tonearms (it's 300,000 so don't mistake it for 300). It's about 30% more viscous than peanut butter. There's nothing 'turntable' in silicon oil except the price. Hobbyists use it in RC car differentials too and there's abundance of it. 100ml (3.3oz) is a life time supply for a TT owner. Check out, for example, the supply on the auction site searching for '300000 cSt silicon oil' and you'll see.

Yes, I bought my lifetime supply bottle from a hobby store for about $10. (primarily sold to RC enthusiasts). Can't remember the cSt number, but it was in the 100 thousands. Worked like a charm on my Thorens TD160 lift.
