I have a lead on some 4 conductor 36 and 38 AWG (two different size not one cable with both sizes) stranded wire with a silver-plate copper shield. this would be VERY similar in size to the original AR tonearm wire and would maintain the "single wire" look that the original had as well as the protection and the added benni of the shielding...
As near as I can gauge (don't want to cut the wire with the calipers)
the originals are 40AWG solid core with a braided sleeve...
these would be a smidge heavier but stranded...
Obviously these would work for other TT's when a heavier AWG might affect the arm...
we'll see when the samples arrive...
